October Short Break

Tom/Janice London
Review Submitted: November 14, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Extremely comfortable and well equipped house. Beautiful situation for serious or casual walkers or even those who prefer sightseeing by car.
House was clean, well- maintained and suitable for any make up of group - be it mixed family/ies, older persons and even one double, as well as put-u-ups, with separate shower room downstairs. All in all we could not fault it and hope we will be able to visit again in summer.

Escape to the Peaks

Zannie London
Review Submitted: November 11, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
The house was amazing, very well kept and clean. Beds and sofas were cosy and showers were fabulous, which is important after a long walk! Loved the wood burner in the lounge. My children said, 'the games room was EPIC!' Living areas were very spacious-we had seven children and a dog with us, but didn't notice as it never felt crowded! Within seconds of leaving the house we were immersed in the most amazing countryside. We didn't want to leave...so have booked another stay next year, can't wait!!!

Home from Home

NormaM London
Review Submitted: November 5, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
I've stayed at Riverside House with my family several times now and it just gets better and better. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and she obviously has high standards herself because this shows at Riverside House The overall standard and cleanliness are first class, the facilities are spacious and superb and there are several small extra "touches" (like family games, DVDs, maps) which show that this has been particularly well thought out as a holiday home. The setting is wonderful, whether you are a "serious" walker or not - there are both simple and challenging walks in the beautiful Peaks - and for those who prefer something more leisurely, there are plenty of trips by car - to Chatsworth, for example. I will certainly be going back again with my family and won't hesitate to recommend it to others - in fact, I already have !

DELIGHTFUL WEEKEND AWAY

czupich london
Review Submitted: November 4, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2007
We thoroughly enjoyed our few days away at this rural and breathtakingly beautiful retreat in the middle of amazing countryside ! This tastefully newly refurbished accommodation was 1st class, spotlessly clean, and every home comfort was provided - lots of attention to detail, making this a home from home.
Very peaceful setting - fantastic walks nearby, beautiful scenery, a babbling river outside the door, what more could we ask for ? Would definitely love to return again, and would highly recommend a stay here to recharge your batteries.
