Fabulous looong weekend!

Review Submitted: April 12, 2011 Date of Stay: March 2011
The owners were incredibly helpful with our queries and opened the property prior to their season starting.

The property is in a beautiful spot and is well presented and spacious (which was a pleasant surprise); it is surrounded by a meadow. The village of Tisbury is a short walk away and is delightful. The owners were away but the next door neighbours were lovely and helpful. The train line is nearby, but you can't really hear it.

We would definitely go back.

The Stables - Tisbury, Wiltshire

Review Submitted: May 9, 2010 Date of Stay: April 2010
A sweet homely cottage with all the amenities required for a great holiday. The listing description was very accurate as the cottage was in a beautiful rural setting with lovely walks, offering peace and tranquility. The property was clean, well maintained and welcoming, as the owners had put the heating on in advance of our arrival. We especially enjoyed the added bonus of table football provided in the property. Good selection of pubs close by and we highly recommend The Beckford Arms, Fonthill Gifford, offering good food, using locally sourced produce. We spent a very enjoyable day in Salisbury, strolling around the interesting market, followed by a visit to the Cathedral, well worth a visit. Lovely walks from the doorstep and suggest a stop off at Old Wardour Castle (just a few miles from the property). Leo the cat was always there to welcome us home. Would most definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives and in fact will most definitely revisit.
