Moncrabou - La Grange (=the barn) is a pretty cottage typically Périgordine in style to be found in a tiny hamlet in a nice hilly aera, near the busy market village of St Cyprien. Set in two levels, this old barn constructed in the local style has been fully restored in 2007/2008 retaining the beautiful golden stone walls and provide cool porcelain flooring and solid wooden floors on 1st level. It has a private terrace with table and chairs to dine outside and a enormous grassy garden surronded by woods.

Nearest Motorway: Souillac, Brives at 40 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 4.0 Kilometres
Moncrabou is set 2,5km from the medieval village of “Saint-Cyprien” with restaurants, many local artisans and shops, including a supermarket and a boulangerie, a thriving weekly market, two banks, doctors and a tourist information centre. Bergerac airport is an easy 45 minutes drive away and medieval Sarlat is a 20 minute drive. The many Chateaux and Bastide towns of the Dordogne are all within a short drive. It is an ideal spot from which to explore the pretty riverside villages such as Beynac and La Roque Gageac, seemingly impossibly built into the side of a cliff. The medieval Sarlat, the bastides of Domme and Limeuil, where the Dordogne River and Vezere river met, Les Eyzies and the Vezere valley, are all within a 15miles from the house.

  • Changeover day is Saturday, altought we are flexible in May, June and September.
    Arrivals - Saturday afternoon from 4.00pm to 7.00pm
    Departure - Saturday morning by 10.00am
  • Guest are requested to leave the proprety in clean and tidy condition ready for the next guests. A cleaning service is available, if required, at a cost of 70 Euros, payable locally to our agent. Please advise when booking if you require this serivce.
    Bed Linen and Towels are availavle at extra cost:
    12€ per bed, 7€ per guests for towels
    Please indicate if you wish to hire them when booking, payable in full on arrival.

    During cooler periods an efficent electic heating system keeps you warm ( extra to be paid locally according to use).
  • 30% deposit with booking. Remainder to be paid 4 weeks before arrival

    Breakage deposit of 250€ to be paid on arrival, returnable on departure

    No smoking inside cottage please. Parking near the houses. Pets are welcome

MONCRABOU LA GRANGE : Set in two levels, the gite comprises: On groundfloor: A large entrance and sep toilets with a washing machine. A tiled bathroom with a bath and a sink. A twin bedroom (one bed is 120cm large and can sleep two children together - the second bed is 80cm large). A beautifull wooden staircase goes up to the upper level where there are: A living room with a sofa, dining table, and satelite TV. An open plan kitchen fully fitted - all the appliance incl the dishwasher are new. A cosy double bedded room.

Gardens : There is a large french windows to access the private terrace and the grassy garden. It is equiped with table and chairs and a charcoal barbecue.

Other Activities: canoeing, visiting villages, caves, castels, markets, brocantes ....
