'West View' is a well maintained bungalow situated right next to the stream that flows through Rosecraddoc. It has two bedrooms, sleeping up to five people with a double bed in the main room and a bunk-bed with a double lower and single upper in the second bedroom. There is a lounge with separate dining room, a very well-equipped kitchen and a shower room/w.c. To the rear of the bungalow is a patio with garden furniture, right by the stream. There is also an allocated space for one car. Situated in a small wooded valley at the foot of Bodmin Moor, this is an ideal place to 'relax and get away from it all'. You are surrounded by typical Cornish countryside. Within easy reach of many attractions though. Pub and restaurant nearby and many eating places in the area. *** Must stress though, this is a quiet and peaceful place, not an 18-30 style holiday camp! ***

Although 'West View' and our other bungalows are all wonderful places to ‘get away from it all’ and to spend time in a peaceful and relaxing environment, they are also well situated as a ‘centre’ from which to visit some of the many attractions in South-East Cornwall and South-West Devon. The fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey are a short drive away. Golitha Falls are just a five minute drive from Mallards. Sibleyback and Colliford Lakes, both within 20 miutes, offer fishing and watersports as well as nature walks. Ramblers have the expanse of Bodmin Moor, and even Dartmoor, given a short car trip. Garden lovers and National Trust members are spoilt for choice in Cornwall. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydroc, Boconnoc, Cothele and many more. Children can be entertained at Dobwalls Theme Park (5 minutes away), Trethorne Leisure Farm (30 minutes away), or any of the beaches on the North or South coasts.

  • We normally let on a Saturday - Saturday basis, although shorter periods and other changeover days are possible to arrange, particularly out of the high season. Visitors are asked to arraive after 3.00p.m. on the day of arrival and to vacate by 10.30a.m. on departure day to allow for cleaning and change of bedding etc.

    More than four in your party? Just contact us as we have other several other properties at the same location, one of which is converted for 'wheelchair' use. Entry through the back door brings you into the well -equipped kitchen with a four-ring ceramic hob, oven and grill, a microwave oven, toaster and refrigerator. There is also a wide range of cooking utensils, including a portable barbecue for use on the patio, along with plenty of cutlery and crockery. The comfortable lounge area has seating for four people on a three-piece suite, a small coffee table, a television, a video player and a cassette tape deck/radio. An efficient night-storage heater is well situated to spread warmth around the bungalow. The main bedroom has a double bed with built-in cupboard space above, maximising space in the room. The bright, well decorated room also has plenty of shelving and is equipped with an electric wall heater and a hair drier. The second bedroom has the bunk bed (double lower and single upper) and a chest of drawers. Again, the room is equipped with an electric heater.

The well decorated bathroom includes the toilet, a wash-basin and an enclosed power shower. A cupboard between the bathroom and kitchen houses the hot water tank and some useful shelving space. All bed linen is included and two towels per person. Electricity is included in the price. There is no gas supply.
