Brannel cottage is a delightful terraced cottage, situated between the canal and river, and a short walk from Bude town centre, Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches. The cottage combines traditional charm with 21st century convenience and has gas central heating, a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, and a delightful courtyard garden with BBQ, table and chairs. There is off street parking for 2 cars. The double, twin and single bedrooms accommodate 5 adults in comfort with a travel cot available for an infant. A spearate sitting room with futon settees and a games table offers space for children to play or read while the main sitting room has a TV and DVD player. The dining hall has a farmhouse table and chairs for 6, from which the unusual staircase rises in two directions to the bedrooms and bathroom above. Many guests return year after year to this warm and welcoming cottage.

The clifftops at Bude offer walks and hiking along one of the most spectacular sections of the South West Coastal path. The Sustrans Cycle route also passes through the area. The beaches offer wide expanses of sand, and all are patrolled by lifeguards during the season. Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches are a 5 minute walk away while Widmouth - the popular surfing beach all year round is approx 2.5 miles along the coast. The Bude canal is a popular spot for fishing and for the energetic canoes and rowing boats can be hired. Public tennis courts, mini golf, and bowls are a mere 100 metres away, whilst the golf course is a a ten minute walk. Riding stables are within walking distance and a pitch and putt golf course a 5 miles drive. Numerous local restaurants and pubs offer a variety of options to eat out, whilst the local pasty shop has a well earned reputation not only for sumptuous pasties but for the best bread pudding ever made!

The cottage is deceptively large with a lounge, dining room, fully fitted kitchen and a second lounge / playroom which has a small games table. The unusual stairs split into two directions and lead to 3 bedrooms - a double (king size bed), a twin room and a small single. The bathroom has a shower above the bath and there is an additional cloakroom downstairs. The courtyard garden has a built-in BBQ and patio table and chairs for 6, and there is parking for 2 cars via the rear access lane. Bude is an unspoilt resort on the north cornish coast set in an area of great natural beauty. Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches are easily accessible on foot and Widmouth beach - popular with surfers is just 3 miles along the coast. There is also a tide-washed natural swimming pool and beach lifeguards in attendance for your safety. Close by there are public tennis courts, mini-golf, library, restaurants, pubs, a childrens playground and a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool.

There are 2 supermarkets in the vicinity and the cottage is almost next door to a post-office shop which is open 7 days a week. Many guests return year on year to enjoy the unique position of the cottage and the delights of north cornwall.
