Villefranche de Lonchat holiday cottage: Carsac de Gurson

The cottages may be rented separately, where either six or eight people can be housed respectively in Le Vieux Grange and La Nouvelle Grange cottages. They may also be rented as a pair, able to accommodate up to 14 people comfortably. Le Mentet is the perfect location for a peaceful time with family and friends. At the height of the season our main attraction has to be the best kept local secret - Lac de Gurson, Le Lac de Loisirs - a pretty inland lake, white beach and surrounded by pine trees. Usually frequented only by those in the know, it's a great place for a safe, simple and relaxing holiday. Back at the barn, there's a large splash pool, lots of space in our garden to play or else to find a quiet spot. If you don't fancy eating at the local restaurants or at the lake, our large terrace and barbeques mean dining al fresco 'chez vous' is always a great option. La Nouvelle Grange accommodates 8 people comfortably.

Downstairs offers a spacious living / dining room, with cream washed walls and a wood-burning stove. French doors open onto a patio and panoramic views of the local countryside. There's also a well equipped kitchen and utility area which includes large freezer, washing machine and the usual cleaning equipment. Upstairs there are 4 oak-beamed double bedrooms, two double and two twin-bedded with views overlooking the vineyards and the ruins of the chateau. Two bathrooms Le Vieux Grange accommodates 6, is cosy comfortable and characterful. The living / dining room is sunny and comfortable with French windows. Whitewashed stone walls, ceiling beams and a wood burning stove add to the cottage feel. The dining area seats six around a farmhouse style table. Pleasant kitchen opens to the terrace and those views again, there's also an extra WC and Utility area.

Upstairs, there are three oak-beamed bedrooms, a double, a twin bedroom and a third with bunk-beds (and a cot if required) Two bathrooms.

Other Activities: childrens play area, water slide, pony riding and mini golf at Lac de Gurson in high season
