Beudy Brics is a Grade 11 Listed detached former cow-barn built of slate, stone and brick. Situated at the highest point of Cyffdy, with stunning views across the paddock to Bala Lake, this delightful cottage is a favourite with romantics, as it is extremely secluded and very peaceful. Newly refurbished interior throughout.

Surrounded by its own private gardens to front and rear, and approached by a path of 5 steps from its driveway and car parking. Gravelled, floodlit front garden area with walled flower beds, rockery and barbecue. Rear paved garden with views of the Arenig mountain. Beudy Brics is frequently visited by badgers and foxes, a real inspiration for lovers of wildlife. Completely private and overlooking the 4-acre paddock with sheep and lambs at the fence.

The cottage has central heating and a villager cast stove for extra cosy winter stays. Sitting room with 42' plasma tv and dvd, fully equipped kitchen and downstairs bathroom with overbath shower. 2 bedrooms.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Freshly made beds, pre-heated cottage and a Welcome Tray of tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. Parking for several cars/boats per property. Groups welcome, but sorry, no stag or hen parties.

    Gas-fired central heating. Linen, towels and fuel included. No smoking indoors please. Sorry, no pets. Minimum stay 2 or 3 nights depending on the season.

    Short Breaks are offered all year except during main school holidays. Weekend short breaks usually start on Fridays. These are minimum 3 nights and priced at 66% of weekly tariff. 4 nights are 75%, 5 nights 85%. Prices include linen, towels and fuel.
  • Payment is by 1/3 deposit on booking, the balance being due 8 weeks prior to the holiday start date.
    Payment can be made by bank transfer, all bank and currency conversion costs must be borne by the holiday maker.
    Payment can be made by Visa Debit, Switch and Maestro with no additional fee. Card payments by Visa Credit and Mastercard incur a 2% bank fee.
    Reservations are subject to our Booking Conditions which are displayed on our own website or contact us for more information.

Ground floor: Entrance to split-level dining kitchen, sitting room with Villager stove on slate hearth. Downstairs bathroom. Stairs to first floor to master bedroom with double canopied bed and twin-bedded room.

The property features central heating, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher, 2 TV’s, a DVD player, a video and a radio/cassette/CD player. Full bed linen is inclusive, though not cot linen. Tea towels are provided. Personal towels are provided for overseas guests only, or can be hired if required. Fuel is supplied by weekly rate. There is an over-bath hand-held mixer shower and a shaver point. A travel cot, high chair, safety gate, socket covers and fireguard are provided.

For your convenience, a power-washer and storage for cycles is available. Cycle hire available in Bala. A barbecue and garden furniture is provided and there is a Barn for barbecues if the weather is not co-operative.

An elegant function room - The Retreat - is available for hire for group usage by prior booking.

For younger guests, in the Cyffdy grounds there is a large paddock with resident goat and sheep, and sledges are available for winter holidays. The Timber Trail Play Area, constructed to ROSPA standards, provides endless hours of fun, and the Barn offers shelter for wet weather play.

Silver Wedding Anniversary

A lovely week - celebrating our silver wedding anniversary, enjoyed the train by Bala Lake, swimming at the Leisure Centre pool, Harlech castle, Barmouth, Portmeirion, the train to the top of Snowdon and beautiful walk back down. Shopping in Chester & site-seeing bus tour. Lovely meal at Plas yn Dre in Bala - Brilliant, thankyou!

Quality speaks for itself -this is our 4th visit to the Cyffdy Cottages! Another perfect week, the weather was lovely and we enjoyed visits to portmeirion, Bala Lake Railway, the Centre for Alternative Technology and Llangolle. We even managed some time on the beach at Barmouth. Sure we will be back again soon, Thanks!
