Better than Beer?

Choosing a place to stay for a vacation is quite daunting, especially if you are organising it solo.
My husband and I discovered Beer quite by chance on the way to Cornwall last year and immediately fell in love with it's charm.
The incredibily friendly locals and closeness of the sea makes it our little piece of heaven. Beer gives access to stunning hill walks and even though the beach is pebble (the only downside)you can reach a sandy one at Lyme Regis a short drive away.
Anchor Cottage is a wonderful property, well maintained and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and if I had a suggestion for improvement, it would be to provide towels. Towels take up so much space in one car!! The location of the cottage gives stunning views of the sea but as it overlooks the Anchor beer garden, it can get quite noisy on a warm night when the windows are open.
Parking is a nightmare.... if you manage to secure a place at all in front of the cottage be aware of time restrictions. You can get a weekly parking permit at the local newsagents but be aware that it only covers one section of the coast.
I would recommend this cottage to friends and most likely return ourselves during our hunt for retirement relocation.
