Located in a quiet neighborhood where one can find the Italian and German embassies, the birthplace of Amália Rodrigues and the place where Luis de Camões is supposed to have lived his last days (Calçada de Santana, nº 139). It is very close to the famous Bairro Alto, a nightlife area, which can be reached by walking down Rossio and Restauradores or by taking the “Elevator do Lavra”, the oldest funicular in Lisbon. This 120 year old elevator goes every 15 minutes down to Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, the location of many excellent fish restaurants as recommended by many city guides.

This apartment is located in the heart of Lisbon’s historical center, between the hills of the Alfama and Bairro Alto district, in the colorful neighborhood of Santa Justa. The famous Rossio Square is just 5 minutes walk away. The geometrically laid out streets of the Baixa, which Rossio square is part of, contains some superb examples of Classical architecture, as well as several old-school bistros and outdoor cafes. Here you also find the main pedestrian area, the Rua Augusta, with its wonderful old shops and boutiques. Close by is also Rua das Portas de Santo Antäo, the location of many excellent fish restaurants as recommended by many city guides. The area is served by 2 subway lines, numerous bus lines and tram lines that will help you to explore the city and nearby tourist sights such as Sintra and Cascais or the beaches around Caparica and the Estoril coast.
