Layout of the cottage :
Stone staircases lead onto the charming living room designed as open plan. This spacious room has exposed beams and stone walls. The comfortable salon area has two sofas, two armchairs, a tv and a cd player. There is a collection of books in English for you to enjoy.
The original stone fireplace dominates the salon area, providing a log fire in spring and autumn. Grouped here are two sofas (one is a sofa bed offering an extra sleep), two armchairs, a coffee table, a TV and a CD player.
On the left corner is the kitchen, fitted with a sink, fridge/freezer, gas cooker with an oven. The range of corkery is very wild. There is a large wooden table and 4 chairs to dine inside.
Wooden staircases lead to the master bedroom with its magnificent exposed wooden structure. It has a king size bed, a large dressing providing a very ample wardrobe space and an unrestricted view out onto the rolling countryside. Note that for the comfort of our guests traveling by plane, linen and towels are incl into the price. The ensuite bathroom contains a washbasin and a bath. Adjacent are the separate toilets. The ensuite guests bedroom is set on the adjacent old cowshed. It has a double bed, a desk and chairs, and a dressing. Behind the folding screen are a sink, a shower, and sep toilets.
The nearby utility room contains a washing machine and ironing board. also there is a large barn big enought to have two cars parked on it.
Outside:
A covered terrace runs the entire width of the house reached through 'french windows.' It is equipped with a small table and chairs and two sun beds.This terrace catches all the late afternoon and evening sun and is the ideal point from which to enjoy a leisurely evening meal whilst enjoying the panoramic view over the valley.
On a bright summer's morning, of which there are many in Carves, it is delightful to use the other table and chairs situated in the garden for breakfast.
The 1500m² secluded gardens offer a mix of sunny and shadowed areas to relax in. There are mature fruit trees you can enjoy during summer time. Our youngest guests will enjoy the grassy areas ideal to play football.
The local area abounds in wildlife such as Rabbits, Deer, Owls, Hawks, and Woodpeckers. For walkers there are many footpaths starting from the house.
