Grange-over-Sands is a prefect base for exploring the Cartmel Peninsular and the Southern Lake District, lying seven miles south from the foot of Windermere, and overlooking Morecambe Bay. Grange offers a charming array of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops, a beautiful Promenade for a relaxing stroll, a bandstand which Brass Bands play at each Sunday through Summer, and many gardens and parks to relax in. With excellent links by road, rail and air, Grange-over-Sands also has the National Cycle Network running through it, and an array of public footpaths that offer spectacular walks, including the Cumbrian Coastal Way footpaths.
