The entrance levels offers an open plan kitchen and dining area with comfortable seating for 6 people. The brand new and stylish kitchen is superbly equipped with dishwasher, microwave, full size oven, large fridge freezer, plenty of work space and washing machine. There is also a wc with sink leading off the hallway on this level. The south facing balcony leads off the dining area, with excellent mountain views and looking over open land offering huge outside grounds. There is a table with seating also provided. Stairs lead from the entrance level, up to the spacious lounge area with high ceilings into the eaves of the building. A lovely open guarded fire creates a centre piece for the those cosy nights in. There is plenty of comfortable seating including a leather sofa and separate sofa bed. There is a TV with DVD player, DVD's, Playstation 2 and extras such as an iPod docking station.
The 2 bedrooms lead off the lounge, the first being a king size bedroom in with quality local furnishings and superb views of the Criou mountain. The second bedroom is a standard size double with sky light and can also fit a pull out single bed if required. Both offer ample hanging and storage space. A family bathroom is also found on this level. Brand new, it offers a full size bath with overhead shower, toilet and large sink. A hairdryer is also provided. The Grand Massif Express lift is now open in summer as well as winter; this is fantastic news for walkers, bikers, paragliders and sports enthusiasts alike.
Winter facts….The Grand Massif is the 4th largest ski area in France and has one of the lowest lift to beds ratios…so much smaller queues than other well know resorts. Samoens now has a high speed lift from 1600m up to 2500m…this means less queuing, less time on the lifts and more skiing!
We are also offering some fantastic alternative activities in the winter, so if you are a non skier there are plenty of other exciting things to take part in, why not try our snow shoeing trip for example...a fantastic experience after which you can enjoy a delicious Savoyard meal in a Yurt on the side of the mountain!
