This is excellent walking country - four paths lead from the grounds over country side from where they link with a magnificent network of paths including the spectacular Dorset Coast Path, running through the area now designated a World Heritage Site and known as The Jurassic Coast. The historic stone village of Corfe Castle is just 1.1/2 miles away with restaurants,shops and pubs.
The scenic swanage steam railway passes through the valley close to Woodyhyde. The town of Swanage with its sandy beach and traditional seaside resort attraction including pier and summer Punch and Judy is just 4.5 miles away. The magnificent countryside and sandy beaches of the Studland Penninsula , managed and owned by the National Trust are just 7 miles away.
