For the Perfect French Experience!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 nights in this lovely property, during the first two weeks in Sepember. After a tiring, but scenic, 2-day journey down to the South Coast, we were delighted to arrive into a quiet, friendly French residence (there were even families playing boules outside when we arrived, to kick off the experience)! 'Maison Albert' is a delightful little cottage, with all the amenities that you could possibly need for your holiday. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped, with a comfortable living room/dining room, a nice bathroom and two bedrooms (one for the kiddies and one for adults). Furthermore, the house has two balconies - we sat on the downstairs one every morning to eat our morning croissants! One word of warning - even in September, the rooms get very hot, so you may want to sleep with the light fan running!
The swimming pool is about a minutes' walk away and is delightful! Only the local residents use it and it is wonderfully maintained!
Local residents: bar the odd cheery holler of 'Bon Appetite' from the nearby holiday cottages, the residents are relatively quiet all day and pefectly quiet by bedtime (the estate is 70% local French Residence, who are working etc., and everyone respects the 'quiet after 10pm' rule).
The local town of Cogolin is wonderful - very rustic, with lots of cobbled uphill streets! There are the usual boulangeries and poissoneries, for a treat, but we got a good proportion of our essentials from the local hypermarket (LeClerc) - so much more fun than the UK supermarkets! Further afield, Port grimaud is definately worth a visit (very pretty, plus you can then get a boat over the the glamorous St. Tropez), as is the market in Croix Val Mer (just a few miles down the road). For a picturesque visit, we highly recommend the hilltop medieval village of Bormes Les Mimosas - breathtaking views!
This overall holiday 'package' is wonderful for younger and older couples alike, as well as families (as long as everyone is okay with walking up steep hills)! We cannot reccomend it enough to other travellers!
Finally, a HUGE thankyou to the owners, who provided lots of advice and recommendations to make our stay more comfortable! We were so very grateful and we look forward to returning to your lovely cottage!
