Lovely property and ideal base for family holiday

We've just had a lovely week's holiday at this Foz villa and we would highly recommend it to others. The villa is beautifully furnished, clean and has all modern facilities you would wish for, with a lovely pool outside. The village of Foz has two great restaurants, grocery shops, ice cream parlour, bakery, bank, butcher, and bars, while down near the beach are some other cafes and restaurants. Nearby Caldas has large supermarkets. We also found a small local restaurant (Tijuca) in Caldas which was superb. The local people were always very friendly and helpful.
We walked to the sandy beaches around the lagoon and near the Atlantic coast (about 20 mins) and the highlight for the children was the windsurfing lesson at the Escola de velo da Lagoa. Its also worth visiting Obidas (try going during the medieval festival), Alcobaca and a trip to Lisbon is certainly a must.
A lovely villa in a beautiful part of Portugal which we hope to revisit soon.
