Our beautiful home is on a private road (with parking) on the edge of a picturesque circulade village South of Carcassonne. It has a friendly atmosphere. Lovely eating place with bar and occasional music nights, post office, small shop and a bakery. Variety of walks and bike rides(we supply the bikes at your own risk) amazing views of the Pyrenees. Swimming pool, tennis courts, lake, bank, hair dressers, bar/cafe etc are just 5k away. Carcassonne Airport is 25 minutes away. Log on to ryanair.com for some amazing cheap deals. Your holiday can be as busy or as relaxing as you want it to be. Many places to visit and things to do or just chill and relax it is entirely up to you. Mountains for walking and skiing under 25 miles away medieval villages, La Cite in Carcassonne, fields of sunflowers, vineyards, lakes, rivers and gorges or the Med are all within easy reach. We provide a welcome pack of wine,bread,milk etc and info on events etc in the area + internet for email and surfing.

La Cite: The amazing medieval fortress of Carcassonne. Festival des 2 cites July 4-31. The Magic of Christmas festival last three weeks in Dec. Cathar castles: The area is steeped in the history of the Cathars with remarkable fortress castles in the mountains. Limoux: the local market town famous for the world's first sparkling wine, Blanquette and its Winter Clown festival, Fecos, which runs from Feb to April. Sports: tennis, swimming, cycling, horse riding, fishing and walking are all available locally. Rafting, canoeing and hydrospeeding can be booked on the local fast flowing rivers. Canal du Midi: Cycling, walking or cruising on this famous waterway. Gorge de Galamus: Only 30km away is this breathtaking gorge. Great for driving and hiking. The Pyrenees: hiking in the summer skiing in the winter. Wine: we are situated in the heart of the Malepere vineyards, visits and tasting.

The cottage is attached to our home on the outskirts of the village with flowers clambering up the walls and beautiful views. It has a pretty and comfy lounge/dining room with well equipped kitchen area. TV/dvd player and pc / internet. Wooden staircase to the spacious very romantic double bedroom with wonderful views through the shuttered window and a large bathroom with shower etc. It has heating for the winter months. Outside is a covered eating out area and a great south facing garden with cherry tree for dappled shade, BBQ sun loungers and table and chairs for alfresco eating. There is a Utility area with washing machine and mountain bikes to potter around on should you wish to explore the country lanes and villages. The cottage is suitable for any time of the year. Winter being January and February. Great for walking and skiing of course which is under an hour away.

We pride ourselves on our service and feel we have made the cottage comfy homely and a pleasure to holiday in. A place that would meet our own high self catering standards. We provide all your linen and towels and there will be a selection of local produce awaiting you in your kitchen. Our aim is for you to have a memorable holiday and want to come again.
