Beaches in the area are reached either by charming small ferry boats, aquataxi, miniature train, by foot or by car. The nearest beach, Ilha de Tavira, is on the other side of the lagoon and has beach hut restaurants and bars which serve late into the night. Other quieter beaches are reached within 10 to 20 minutes by car and offer miles and miles of beautiful clean white sand and dunes. A wonderful environment for small children.
