Dating from the fourteenth century and surrounded by 80 acres to walk across. Aga in the kitchen, original flagstone floor and large oak rustic dining table seating 16. Four poster bed and original Georgian panelled room. Health and beauty facilites from Somerset Spa on site. Licensed Bar with catering on site. Surrounded by 80 acres of idyllic countryside for walking. Only 4 miles from Taunton and the M5 J25, London 2 hours, Bristol 1 hour. Murder Mystery evenings, clay pigeon shooting. Ideal for hen weekends, celebrations and reunions.

Meare Court has its own hot tub in the garden: Meare Court is a beautiful grade two liisted manor house. Many original features remain including an elm medieval rustic screen on the third floor and a beautiful Georgian panelled room. There are original flagstone floors, beams and a huge open fireplace with wood burner in the sitting room. An ample supply of logs are included. Linen, towels and electririty are included. There is a large hot-tub with a gazebo over in the garden. Meare Court is surrounded by 80 acres to walk across and only a mile from the local pub and another lovely walk in Hatch Beauchamp. Sleeps 14 - 16

Murder Mystery weekends, delivered meals, catering, bar, pampering packages, Clay pigeon shooting and archery all available. Our own therapists from Somerset Spa on site provide a full range of health and beauty treatments. At the same location as The Old Mill and Granary, a converted barn. VisitBritain 4 star, linen, towels and electricity are included.

The Yevelton Barn is a licensed bar in the grounds. Available to book for a party venue, conference facility, team building base, WiFi for maximum 50 people.

An amazing weekend

A huge thank you for an amazing weekend - Meare Court and Somerset Spa completely exceeded not just mine but everyone's expectations. All the little touches such as the champagne on arrival were wonderful and made us feel very special. It was such a lovely weekend, the girls also did a fantastic job organising so many activities and I know that everyone will be recommending you to their friends.

Girly weekend...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Somerset Spa. Beautiful house and location. A bit tricky to find but thats to be expected with a bunch of girls map reading! Hot tub and sauna was great too. Very nice cosy bar on-site. I would definitely recommend this venue.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We went to Meare Court for my hen party. It was lovely and relaxing, the house was spacious and clean and the spa treatments were great.
If you are after a relaxing weekend with friend this is perfect.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway

A relaxing and peaceful break

Somerset Spa was in a beautiful location, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. It's even nicer than the pictures.
The accommodation was beautifully converted, and was clean and well-maintained.

We had a very relaxing midweek break, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Somerset Spa to anyone looking for a peaceful rural getaway.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Our Stay

I found this place to be really dirty! The hot tub was grimy. The TV did not work despite as asking the owner twice. We were told someone would get back to us. Well they never did! It really needs a good clean very often. Yes they have a Aga but it is grubby as well. It is a place of top show. Pretty features, But once you start looking around the dirt got the better of me. We even had to clean the BBQ before we used it. And the owner let her dog poo on the lawn, she did clear it up to be fair. I did not feel because I personally could not relax because my eyes would wander to the cobwebs and dirt under the furniture. First day I had the hoover out to pick up the crisps under the furniture. The setting is lovely. I do not know what the other properties were like I was not interested but the Manor was not good for us.
The Manor also adjoins the owners property so it is not as private as you might wish for.
We wanted to stay for a week, luckily this was not possible. So we stayed for 4 nights, and believe me we could not wait to get out of there!
