Kitchen area with all cooking utensils including slow cooker, sandwich toaster, microwave.Large LCD TV and Ipod docking station. Some DVDs supplied. Porto Antigo 2 is located on the best part of Santa Maria beach,The apartment sleeps 6 and has a balcony off the main bedroom and a balcony off the lounge, great views from both places. LCD screen and DVD in main bedroom. Large corner sofa that pulls out to a double bed.Located on the second floor so great views accross Santa Maria bay and very private.

Santa Maria Apartment

We have just come back from a fantastic 2 weeks in Cape Verde, the apartment is in an excellent location close to the restaurants, bars and beach. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend Santa Maria to beach lovers. Try Angelas restaurant (you can see this from the balcony) they do a daily buffet which is very resonably priced, it is always busy with locals which is always a good sign.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

2 WEEKS IN THE SUN

We have stayed in Cape Verde before, so took the opportunity to go it alone this year, Having found the wonderful Porto Antigo development we must say it was a pleasure to stay at Jeans 2 Bed apartment , the view is wonderful, Pool always welcoming and the apartment had everything a true home from home !!
Thank you for all the information you provided and we shall certainly pass this little gem on to our friends

Lovely place to stay...

We stayed at Adrian and Jeans apartment at Porto Antigo 2 in Santa Maria, not sure what the bad review is for below as we thought it was an exceptional place to stay.

We had the pleasure of meeting Adrian and Jean while we were there as well who were great hosts and lovely people.

Porto Antigo 2 is set perfectly out from the beach in Santa Maria, perfectly placed in a tranquil setting.

Great pool and a quiet beach at your doorstep.

The apartment was lovely, well cleaned and well stocked with all useful utilities - 2 TVs, washing machine - all the utensils you could ever need which helped us cook at home.

Great balcony and sofa bed in the main room and a double bedroom..

Shower and bathroom was clean and big enough..

We will definitely be returning next year...
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

+ situation of complex superb. Right on the beach with nice pool area.
+ close to centre of town, shops and restaurants

- we did not get a mid-stay clean or change of linen. Check that this is provided for stays of more than 1 week
- there is no mention of an additional charge for air conditioning on the website - only revealed upon receipt of the booking form
- inadequate fixed air conditioning unit in the lounge and the mobile unit in bedroom was to noisy to leave on all night.
- few small jobs required around the property e.g. light bulbs out and no suitable replacements.
