Experience the ultimate in luxury from this new waters edge lodge. Aptly named the Vision, with it's unique feature, a glass fronted elevation that looks out across the lake. Situated just 5 minutes off the M6, junction 35, at the gateway to the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, is in easy reach to take advantage of the many activities which surround this area of natural beauty. Enjoy the on-site leisure centre with heated swimming pool, steam room, gymnasium, fitness centre and beauty therapy suite. Over looking the lake, you will find the excellent waters edge restaurant and bar, with a decking area to enjoy your meals alfresco. The restaurant offers fine evening dining, with less formal bar meals served through out the day. The private lake is suitable for fishing, kayaking, wind surfing or sailing (using your own equipment). There is a small beach for children.

You will be close to the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss where you will find an array of bird life. There is excellent fishing next door at British Waterways at Borwick, just less than 5 minutes away. For places of historic interest there is Leighton Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle that are all within 10 minutes drive. Also local is Lakeland Wildlife Oasis the North West's Favourite Little Zoo. At nearby Newby Bridge you will discover the Lakes Aquarium where you can also take a lake cruise along the length of lake Windermere. For a traditional shopping experience you can visit nearby, Kirby Lonsdale, Kendal or Bowness-on-Windermere.

    A deposit of £60 will secure your booking with the balance required 4 weeks before arrival.

    A refundable security deposit of £100 is required to cover breakages and / or non return of keys.

    The lodge will be available from 2 p.m. on the day of your arrival and should be departed by 10 a.m. on the date of departure.

    Temporary membership of the Leisure Centre is an optional extra payable on site.

    This is a no smoking lodge and we cannot accept pets.

Situated on Lakeland Leisure Village which has been the proud recipient of the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award and is a Visit Britain 5* Park. The lodge consists of one double bedroom with en-suite shower, washbasin and toilet. One twin bedroom with a separate bathroom which has a shower bath, washbasin and toilet. There is a open-plan living dining area and a self contained kitchen. Leading from the living space there is a large decked balcony over-looking a waterside lawn and private jetty. Enjoy the spacious lounge which features panoramic views from floor to ceiling of the picturesque lake and surrounding hills. The lounge area contains a flat screen LCD TV complete with free-view and DVD player. Feature fire place and french doors that lead through to the outside balcony with outside dining area and BBQ. Selection of board games available. The open plan dining area comfortably seats six.

State of the art fully fitted kitchen with integral appliances; fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer. microwave, electric oven, gas hob and built under wine cooler with the added luxury of a drop down TV and audio sound system. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, dishes, pans and utensils. The hallway leads to the bedrooms and bathroom and has a storage closet for outdoor shoes and coats. Elegant double bedroom with leather bed, fitted wardrobes and en-suite bathroom. French doors from bedroom leads to small veranda. Twin bedroom with wall to wall fitted wardrobe. Parking for two cars. Please note that the lodge is a no smoking lodge and pets are not allowed.

My wife and I, along with our 16 year old son and 9 year old grandson, spent a very enjoyable week in this beautiful lodge in early Summer 2009. The location, right on the edge of the lake, and the lodge's facilities were even better than described. The property was in perfect condition, spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should. My wife normally likes to eat out while on holiday, but the kitchen was so well fitted out that she was happy to cook in the lodge and we ate in on three of the nights of our week's stay. Our son and grandson made good use of the indoor pool, they even swam in the lake on one occasion, much to the surprise of the ducks which came over for bread everytime they saw us on the decking. The onsite restaurant provided good food at reasonable prices. Also worth a visit are the Chinese Takeaway close to the railway station in Carnforth and the Indian Restaurant in Kendal. The lodge is within a 40 minute drive of Lake Windermere and we all enjoyed the falconry centre on the A65 near Austwick. And bring your kayak or rigid inflateable with you. The lodge has a private landing giving direct access onto the lake. The owner was very obliging. We have already recommended the lodge to friends and family and we're keen to return to the lodge as soon as we can.
