Le Petit Camus provides an extremely comfortable holiday retreat, while retaining its original charm. Oak beams, a-frames and ceiling boards have been restored; a traditional log burner provides a focal point whilst modern electric heaters and ample insulation ensure the property is comfortable year round.
The living area comprises an open plan kitchen/dining room/living room that has charming views over the garden and moorland beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped, having a cooker with electric oven & gas hob. There is a dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment, a microwave and range of small appliances. The dining area has French doors, and an extendable table to seat 4-6. The living area has 2 comfortable sofas, a log burner, a TV/DVD player with free to air UK programmes. A music system with radio, CD & iPod jack is also provided, as are a wide range of books and board games to suit all tastes.
A separate utility room at the rear houses the washing machine, water heater and ground floor WC. Upstairs, both bedroom suites have exposed oak beams. One has a king sized double bed, the other has 2 singles which can be joined to form a superking double on request. The rooms have hanging space, chests, mirrors and chairs; they are full of light and have superb views. Both ensuite shower rooms have a walk in shower, sink with storage under, shaver point and WC. Duvets appropriate to the season are provided. A cot, stairgate and high chair can be provided on request, subject to availability.
Outside Le Petit Camus has a raised patio area with built in stone BBQ base and plenty of solid wood garden furniture. In front of the house is a shrub bordered private garden featuring the original stone well (safely capped with a heavy duty grill cover), beyond which is the orchard shared with Le Grand Camus. To the left of the house there is a gravelled parking area.
