Seaview is renowned for sailing. As well as a leading yacht club, the village has a number of public slipways, which makes it an ideal location for messing about in boats. The village is also a centre for other water sports including windsurfing, water skiing and fishing.
The beaches at Seaview are perfect for a traditional seaside holiday. There is sand for building castles, rocks from which to go crabbing and, at low tide, rock pools for shrimping. Priory Bay, possibly the best beach on the Island, is just a 15 minute walk away from ‘High Tide’, along a peaceful footpath.
In recent years, the Island has attracted avid foodies. It has everything from Michelin-standard dining to beach cafes, many featuring locally produced meat, fish, vegetables, cheeses and wines. The nearest award winning establishment, The Seaview Hotel and Restaurant, is just a short stroll away from ‘High Tide’.
