'La Quietude' is situated in the south of France 5 km outside the village of Roquebrune-sur-Argens, close to the town of Fréjus. The house is on a small development called “Green Village” next to a golf course. The villa has 3 bedrooms and is conveniently located near the coast and A8 autoroute and about 1 hour from Nice airport. The 'Green Village' residence has a most appealing and peaceful location, next to the golf course 'Golf de Roquebrune' and has views over the surrounding fields and pine forest with the Bay of Fréjus in the distance. There is a superb swimming pool for the use of residents and their guests. The villa is available all year round and has a large terraced garden, large shaded patio area, boule pitch and has parking for 2 cars, suitable for families or groups up to 6.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A rental contract will be issued at the time of booking.
    A deposit of 25% of the rental cost is required at the time of booking. A separate returnable damage security deposit of £250 is required in addition to the balance of payment, 10 weeks before arrival.

    All bookings include laundry charges and an end of stay clean, however please ensure that you leave the property as you would expect to find it. Additional cleaning may result in a deduction from your security deposit.

    Changeover times are 10:00 on day of departure and 16:00 on day of arrival.
    Midweek arrivals and departures are available on request.

La Quietude has been furnished in the Provençal style with the aid of local interior designers so expect the ‘wow’ factor. The open plan aspect to dining and living areas gives the villa a cool spacious air but the installation of a beautiful corner traditional wood-burning French fireplace means that it is equally welcoming in the cooler months. The enlarged patio area with pergola for shade overlooks the beautifully appointed garden which also contains a boule area. Garden furniture consists of a lovely teak table and chairs together with a barbecue, two sun loungers and four deck chairs. There is a gate and path from the parking area into the garden so you do not have to walk round to the front door with your provisions or cases. There are two parking spaces directly outside the villa. In the living area there is an LCD television, DVD player and stereo hi-fi to help you enjoy your stay.

The kitchen area is small but again has been installed by experts to maximise the space, you will find everything to hand including a large fridge with small freezer, ceramic four ring hob, fan-assisted oven and grill, extractor fan and dishwasher, sink and drainer, kettle, toaster and a small wall mounted television. The double bedrooms have large wardrobes and the twin bedded room has a chest of drawers. For your convenience all bed linen and towels (except beach towels) are supplied. A hair dryer is also to be found in the principal en-suite bedroom. The bathroom also has shower facilities. The washing machine is installed in this room as is allowed under French law together with a cupboard containing cleaning materials. Also provided in the living area is a folder of leaflets detailing all the activities locally and in the wider area of the Côte d’Azur/Provence together with maps for car touring and guides in French for those of you who are keen walkers.

A Beautiful Villa near St Tropez

We had a wonderful time staying in this house in May this year - the house is large and very well appointed, it is beautifully kept and the garden is quiet and secluded, with a boules pitch and a barbeque for those long summer evenings.

Although there are some great restaurants nearby, the house is brilliantly set up for self catering - the kitchen had full amenities including fridge-freezer, fan oven with hob and dishwasher, there's a large dining area inside, and also dining furniture on the patio outside, and the lounge and bedrooms were really comfortable and quite large. There is a large hypermarket about 10 mins drive away which had everything we needed. There were 4 of us staying but the house was big enough for at least 6 - there are 2 double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and also a twin bedroom.

The house is well situated for driving, being only a short distance from the many attractions and There are 2 allocated parking spaces which were very handy. It is only a short ferry shuttle from St Maxime to St Tropez. The ferry only takes around 10 minutes to cross the bay and costs around 12 Euros (which is a bargain compared to trying to park in St Tropez!) The lady who takes care of the house lives up the road, and was really helpful in settling us in - she recommended some great places to visit and was a 2 min walk away if we needed anything. The owners were also really helpful and sent us a lot of information in advance about the house, amenities etc. We visited Grimaud, St Tropez, St Maxime and Frejus - the beaches were beautiful and the towns were very pretty, with plenty of tourist attractions. Cannes and Monaco are also just a drive down the coast.

There is a pool on the complex, which was very clean and quiet with space for sunbathing, but we preferred sunbathing in the garden as it isn't overlooked - has a lovely view over the hillside. I didn't notice many steps around the property and the surroundings are quite flat, so using the house shouldn't be a problem for people who have issues with mobility.

Would definitely recommend this holiday rental - we will definitely be visiting again!!!!!

This place really is a jewel in the crown that is the South of France.

With parking just a few paces from the delightful accomodation nothing could be easier. A car is essential as the villa is set in a semi-rural area, beside a golf course, but so conveniently placed for trips to St Tropez, Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo and many more lovely places.

Make sure you leave enough time to enjoy the peacefulness of the villa. The secluded garden has matured nicely since our first visit, giving a secluded sun trap for lazy afternoons, with the occasional dip in the large swimming pool that is on site.

The accomodation is superb. Decorated to a very high standard, it is such a comfortable base to have, with everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped should you wish to cook, and there is even a dishwasher to take away the pain of the washing up. Washing machine, Iron & ironing board are also supplied, but trust me, you'll be too busy to use them. It was so nice to fire up the bar-b-cue, have a game of Boule while it was cooking, and sample the local wines that are oh so reasonable.

There are pleasant walks, beautiful beaches and a vast selection of water sports all close to hand, and Roquebrune village is such a pleasant place to visit, with several very good restaurants.

I think you can tell we were VERY taken with La Quietude. It really is superb. Once you've been you will want to go back, as you can't possibly fit in everything in one stay. We are planning our third visit next year.

An amazing find

This villa was an excellent find, it comfortably slept 6 adults (3 couples) for the two weeks we were there. The clean, spacious living and dining areas as well as the beautiful garden more than made up for the rather small (yet manageable) kitchen. The pool, although communal is well regulated and so is generally quiet and was always clean, as was the shower area.
Roquebrune itself is a quaint village with all the amenities you need while on holiday, but even that is a 10 minute drive away. I would highly recommend having your own transport as the villa is a bit out of the way. St Raphael and Port Frejus are about 30mins drive away, but worth the trip out for daytime or evening activities, especially when the markets are on. There is also a vineyard which is within walking distance, also very much worth the time.
The owners of the villa were extremely helpful and very prompt with their responses to all of our queries.
We had an amazing time at La Quietude, it was the perfect place to be proposed to! (I said yes...)
We are already considering a return visit!
