The house is bright, warm and has been well maintained. There are four bedrooms; one double, one king, one twin room and a single (with bunk beds). The bathroom has a bath with electric shower, a toilet and wash basin. With a sitting room, good sized kitchen and separate dining room the house offers plenty of living space. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and is fully equipped with pots, pans and crockery. Off the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an additional toilet and washbasin in the old garage, accessed from the utility room. Around the house is a good sized grassed garden of about 0.25 acres.
Tig Na Nollag has a superb location. The gorgeous beach at Barleycove is just a few minutes drive down the road. The beautiful scenic village of Crookhaven and the town of Schull are just a short drive away. About forty minutes by car is Bantry, with its beautiful bay.
There are many unspoilt vistas of rugged Atlantic coast to be found in West Cork. Just 6 miles from Goleen is the dramatic Mizen Head (Ireland’s Lands End), an old lighthouse (now a Visitor Centre)on a rocky headland accessed via a small footbridge with waves crashing against the rocks beneath you. You can see the dramatic Fastnet rock off the coast. There are islands such as Cape Clear that you can take boat trips to from Baltimore. With some lovely walks and historic buildings to visit there is plenty to do.
