April is flowers festival in Funchal with lots of parades around town.
May is Madeira spring flower time.
June Atlantic festival with fireworks display every saturday evening. and you dont have to leave the apartment just seat at varanda with glass of wine or gin and tonic ans enjoyyyyyyyyyy.
November and December come to see the festival of lights. all the avenues in funchal decorated for the christmas time, also come for shoping and avoid the hard cold winters of europe.
Madeira is the floating gardem, so always flowers, and beautifull gardens to visit.

Eating out around the apartment: Try our local cornershop, for a morning coffee and all your extra needs on holiday.
Snack bar alto da Pena, for morning coffee wyle walking down to Funchal or for evening meal or snack , this place very Madeirain. You be mixing with the locals. The bus also stops just outside very handy if you eat or drink one to many, just get bus back home.
