Sleeps 4 in two double (or twin) bedrooms. Individually controllable underfloor central heating throughout. Large comfortable and characterful lounge and dining area with stone fireplace and woodburning stove. Luxury ensuite bathrooms with whirlpool bath and mains pressure shower over. Wireless Internet access. And more! The cottage is on two levels, plus a gallery, with underfloor heating throughout provided by our ground source heat pumps. The heating is controllable in all rooms, and is included in the price. The Byre is built “upside down”, with the bedrooms on the ground floor and living area above. It has its own entrance through one of the original stable doors of the barn into a porch and “muddy boot” area, and a large storage cupboard big enough for cycles. Your utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The two large bedrooms can be arranged as doubles or twin to suit your needs.

Upstairs is a superb and comfortably furnished living area with two sofas, and french doors open from the lounge onto a balcony where you can smoke if you wish, and which has stone steps leading down to the ground. In the lounge you'll find a stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove which provides a lovely focal point and a supplement to the underfloor heating in the coldest weather, and we’ve made full use of the original height of the barn, with the old roof trusses exposed and a wooden staircase leading up to a gallery area where you'll find a games table and chairs. There’s an LCD television with Freeview satellite, which also receives radio channels, and a DVD player/recorder to enable you to watch a movie in the evenings, record your favourites if you’re out, and play music CD’s. The cottage has wireless internet access. Outside is your own seating area with table and chairs, and access to the rest of our grounds and beckside where you'll find picnic tables and a barbecue.
