Sleeps 6 in three double (or twin) bedrooms. Individually controllable central heating throughout. Large comfortable lounge with stone fireplace and woodburning stove. Separate large dining area and fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. Ground floor wetroom/wc equipped with the needs of disabled guests in mind. Luxury bathroom with whirlpool bath and mains pressure shower over. Well trained dogs are welcome by arrangement. The Carthouse has an enclosed courtyard area for dogs. The cottage is on three levels, with underfloor heating throughout apart from the top bedroom which has a radiator. The heating, which is controllable in all rooms, is provided by our ground source heat pumps and included in the price. For less mobile guests who may not be able to manage stairs, there is a comfortable day bed in the ground floor lounge. Ramped access for wheelchairs.

The lounge has very comfortable seating and a log burning stove to supplement the underfloor heating on the very coldest nights, or just as a romantic touch. There’s an LCD television with Freeview satellite, which also receives radio channels, and a DVD player/recorder to enable you to watch a movie in the evenings, record your favourites if you’re out, and play music CD’s. WiFi internet access means you can use your laptop to stay in touch, and research the area in detail. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need, and is separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar. The dining table will seat eight in comfort. The first floor has two fully furnished bedrooms with comfortable six foot wide super kingsize beds which can be split into two singles if desired. The master bedroom features exposed timbers and stonework, and has a washbasin.

Another flight of stairs leads to the third bedroom in the apex of the barn, again with a comfortable six foot wide super kingsize bed which can be split into twins.
