Courtmacsherry is a double-fronted detached Victorian house, just a few minutes walk from the marina, yet in a quiet and pleasant residential location. This light, airy and characterful house sleeps up to ten in five bedrooms, and also has a lovely large garden on three levels which offers plenty of privacy. There is on-street parking. This house is an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island, yet provides the convenience of Cowes on your doorstop. Visit any beach you care to during the day.....or cycle......or sail...... followed by an easy stroll down to a pub/restaurant in the evening, knowing that you don't have to drive home!

As such, Courtmacsherry provides a wonderful opportunity for a careful sailing crew or anyone interested in the excitement and spectacle of beautiful boats on the water. Throughout the summer, there are regattas to take part in, or watch..... Beyond sailing, the Isle of Wight offers much much more and Cowes is a wonderful place to base yourself with its cosmopolitan flavour and abundance of pubs and restaurants. The town itself has considerable character and charm with its Georgian architecture and pedestrianised High Street. There is a beautiful esplanade area at the seafront and a pebble beach, providing prime viewing over the Solent.

  • FRIDAY is the usual changeover day. However, there may be some flexibility depending on prior bookings. Guests may arrive from 4 pm onwards and are asked to leave by 11 am at the end of their stay. There is a keysafe.

    If guests stay for two weeks, the house will be cleaned and the linen will be changed once in the middle.

    Cowes Week, Little Britain and the Round the Island Race are subject to increased rates. Please ask the owner about these dates and rates, provided they are not shown as booked.

Courtmacsherry sits in a generously-proportioned private garden just minutes from the bustle of Cowes High Street with its shops, restaurants and cafes. Ideally located for the sailor, it is no more than a three minute walk down to the marina. Inside, the house has two reception rooms on either side of the front door, one equipped with television and DVD player. Overall, there is comfortable seating for ten. Across the back of the house is the large kitchen dining room, with seating for ten. From the dining room, there is access through French windows into the conservatory/gamesroom - a pool table beckons! From here, there is direct access onto the outside deck where there is outdoor furniture with a parasol and a BBQ is provided. From the back of the house, there are views over the garden, which falls away on three lawned levels. The garden is beautifully stocked with shrubs and roses. Some sea glimpses can be seen over the trees which border the bottom of the garden.

This tree screen provides fabulous privacy given the convenience of the location. Guests may use the very large round trampoline at their own risk. The bedrooms upstairs are on two levels. On the first floor, there is a double-aspect bedroom with king-size bed and separate wash hand basin, a second double with a regular double bed, separate wash hand basin and views over the marina and a third room with twin beds and separate wash hand basin. Up one more flight of stairs are two more bedrooms, one a generous twin and the other a smaller room with twin beds. There are amazing views from the top bedrooms across Cowes marina towards the Solent. One of the ground floor reception rooms has a sofa which converts into a futon bed. The large family bathroom is on the first floor with spacious corner bath with shower over, wash hand basin and WC. Next door to the bathroom is another separate WC.

Parking is on-street to the front of the house and up to two visitor permits per day are provided.
