This large modern apartment consists of 2 double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, a lounge/dining room and a patio area. It is situated in the centre of Ugijar, the capital of the Alpujarra. There is easy access to all the shops and restaurants and in the summer months there is a large swimming pool within 5 minutes walk. From Ugíjar it is possible to explore the whole region, from the beaches of the Costa Tropical to the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula (Mulhacén 3479m and Veleta 3394m). La Alpujarra is a place that is worth visiting throughout the year, especially if you love the outdoor life but also if you just want a relaxing holiday and a taste of the 'real Spain'. The alpujarra is one of the few places in Spain were the bars still offer free tapas when you order a drink.

Nearest Ferry: Almeria at 60 Minutes
Nearest Beach: beach at 45.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary
There are plenty of attractions in the alpujarra and the surrounding area. In the summer months you are just 45mins from the nearest beach and in the winter you are just 45mins from Puerto de la Ragua where you can go sledging and cross country skiing. All the equipment can be hired on the spot and there is a local restaurant. If you enjoy walking you have access to miles of routes including the GR7 which passes through the village of Valor (10 mins from Ugijar). If you fancy something more strenuous then an hours drive to Trevelez will give you access to Mulhacen the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula. However, if you prefer, Trevelez is a lovely place to visit in its own right. It is here that they cure some of the best serrano ham in Spain. Of course one place not to miss is the Alhambra in Granada. This is about a 2hr drive from Ugijar via el puerto de la Ragua. We've done this journey a number of times and it is both beautiful and spectacular.

The Living/ dining room has a TV, 1 three seat sofa, 1 two seat sofa, a coffee table and an extendable dining table with 6 chairs. There is a balcony from the living room with views of the town and the Sierra Nevada. The Kitchen comes fully equipped with everything for a family of six. There is a good size kitchen table with 4 chairs. The apartment has electric heaters for the winter months and all rooms have ceiling fans.
