Set on the picturesque hamlet of Cravelle, belonging to the small village of Grives, Maison Haute and Maison Gibiat are two cottages built in honey-colored stones. The two houses sleep 6 guests each. They are very private from each other and can be let separately or together for larger groups. They shared a large 10mx6m salt filtration system swimming pool, set 50m down the gites. The pool is fully fenced and enjoys a panoramic view onto the valley and countryside.

Cravelle is the ideal spot from which to explore the Dordogne valley with its pretty riverside villages such as Beynac and La Roque Gageac, seemingly impossibly built into the side of a cliff. The medieval Sarlat, the bastides of Domme and Limeuil, where the Dordogne River and Vezere river met, Les Eyzies and the Vezere valley, are all within a 20miles from the house. For walkers, there are many footpaths starting from the house. For golfer there are two golf courses in the village of Siorac en Perigord, 6miles away Dordogne river with stones beach and canoe / kayak also 6 miles away

  • Changeover day is Saturday, althought we are flexible in May, June and September
    Arrivals - Saturday afternoon from 4.00pm to 7.00pm
    Departures - Saturday morning by 10.00am
  • Prices are given for one gite only - the two gites can be let together at a reduced rate - please enquiry.
    guests are requested to leave the proprety in a clean and tidy condition ready for the next guets. A cleaning service is available, if required, at a cost of 80 Euros, payable locally to our agent.

    Bed linen and Towels are available at extra cost:
    12€ per bed, 6e per towel set (hand and bath towels)
    Please indicate if you wish to hire them when booking, payable in full on arrival.

    During cooler periods, an efficient electric heating system keeps you warm (extra to be paid locally according to use).
  • 30%b deposit with booking. Remainder ti be paid 4 weeks before arrival

    Breakage deposit of 300 Euros to be paid on arrival, returnable on departure.

    No smoking inside cottage please.

    Pets are welcome prior agrement

The cottage Maison Gibiat: The cottage Maison Gibiat offers on two levels : a large kitchen fully equipped (oven, microwaves, dishwasher, washing machine...). There are table and chairs to dine in and an original large fireplace. A cosy living room équipped with sofas, fireplace, basic TV chanels and sitting room area with a large wooden table and chairs to seat 8 guests. French doors lead onto a private secluded grassy garden also equipped with table and chairs to dine outside. Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms, 2 double bedded room and 1 twin. They share a family bathroom with bath, a sink and a bidet. Adjacent are separated toilets.

The Gite Maison Haute: The second cottage named 'Maison Haute' also offers 6 sleeps but all at groundfloor : A cosy living room with fireplace and dining area. A separate kitchen fully equiped. 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin. A family bathroom with bath and sink. Sep toilets. It enjoys its own private grassy garden équipped with table and chairs to dine outside.

Outside : Both gites enjoyed a very private and aprox 500m² secluded garden It is equiped with table and chairs to dine al fresco. A bbq is available for use There is a large car park for several cars The shared swimming pool it as a very convenient 50m down the gites. It is fenced and enjoyed a breathtaking views over the valley The hamlet of Cravelle is set in a beautiful rural countryside. The area abounds with animals as rabits, birds, deers, etc... for walkers there are many footpaths strating from the hamlet.
