Les Clauzades has been lovingly converted by its English owners and is set in ¾ of an acre of well planted grounds with views across the countryside, and offers its guests privacy and seclusion where they can relax around the pretty pool. It is believed to be around 200 years old, and up until 30 years ago was a tobacco farm. The bastide village of Tournon d’Agenais (7kms) has a traditional square with restaurants and on Friday nights in July and August it has a bustling night market with where guests can enjoy local music and food. Puy l’Eveque (16kms) is a medieval town situated on the River Lot. It has many summer events and a base nautique. Nearest main towns: Villeneuve-sur-Lot & Cahors - 25 minutes.

The principal cities are Toulouse and Bordeaux. Between these two are major towns including: Cahors: County town of the Lot and once a vibrant university town. Home of the dark red wine known as Cahors Noir. It has a charming town centre and the notable landmark of 14c Pont de Valentre Villeneuve-sur-Lot: A powerful bastide on the banks of the Lot river. Founded in 1264 it has preserved a large quantity of small streets and half-timbered buildings. Close by is a superb 18 hole golf course. Tournon d'Agenais: Pretty Royal bastide village from 1271 and on the route of St Jaques de Compostella with a lovely square and belfry tower. Superb views, leisure lake, restaurants, small supermarket and seasonal market.

Accommodation: The private terrace opens into the central living room that is well furnished with a comfortable seating and dining area with British satellite tv The fully fitted kitchen is at one end of the main living room and has a fridge, gas cooker, washer/dryer, microwave, and a good range of electrical equipment. Doors lead through to the twin-bedded room that has French doors into the gardens. The Shower-room has a wc and basin, with an electric space heater. Central heating. The pretty terrace has far reaching views and is perfect for enjoying the beautiful surrounding countryside whilst having a BBQ and watching the wonderful sunsets. Guests have their own private entrance and parking.
