The charming town of Javea lies between the two headlands of San Antonio and La Nao, mid-way between Valencia and Alicante.
There are three distinct parts of the town, the Old Town with its quaint narrow streets and ancient squares; a fascinating Port area which has a great selection of bars and restaurants along the seafront and also of course the fabulous bustling working harbor, then there is the Arenal which is the Town´s main sheltered sandy beach with a wide promenade flanked by bars and restaurants making it very safe for young children. This beach is awarded the ´Blue Flag´ for cleanliness year after year. Watching over these areas is the spectacular Montgo mountain, shaped like an elephant which changes colour dramatically in the different lights and weathers.
There is plenty to do too. Walking, golf, scuba diving, swimming and sun bathing are the obvious.
Javea is surrounded by many towns and villages worth visiting, Moraira and Denia are both a short 10 minutes drive, both worth visiting. You can even take a day trip to Ibiza on a car ferry from Denia.
Benidorm is approximately 30 minutes drive with large shopping mall, Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia Water Park next door to Mundomar a large Dolphin and Sea World park. Travelling North you have Vergel Safari Park just 30 minutes away.
