It has central heating throughout so is also perfect for a week away in the autumn and winter. La Maison d’Amis has a private terrace with sun canopy to enjoy alfresco dining and also benefits from use of a beautiful large swimming pool which is shared with the owners.

Labastide Murat is a pretty bastide village founded in the 13th century, set in the stunning Causse National Park, renowned for its beautiful oak and juniper forests attracting various species of flora and fauna including many unusual butterflies, birds, deer and wild boar. There are sites of interest within easy reach of the village including St-Cirq-Lapopie, Rocamadour, Grotte du Pech-Merle, Puy-l'Eveque and Cahors. The village is well served with several restaurant/bars, traditional farmers market, tennis courts, church, tourist office/library, bakers, butchers, hair salon, post-office, doctors, supermarket all of which are a within a 5 minute walk from the property.

  • Changeover day is Saturday, althought we are flexible in May, June and September
    Arrivals - Saturday afternoon from 4.00pm to 7.00pm
    Departures - Saturday morning by 10.00am
  • Please note price are indicated in UK Pounds. Payment in € can also be arranged.

    Guests are requested to lmeave the proprty in a clean and tidy condition for the next guests. A cleaning service is available, if required, at a cost of 60 Euros, payable locally to our agent. Please advise when booking if you required this service.

    Bed linen and Towels are incl into the price.

    During cooler periords, an efficient electric heating system keeps you warm (extra to be paid locally according to use).
  • 33% deposit with booking. Remainder to be paid 8 weeks before arrival

    Breakage deposit of £250 to be paid on arrival, returnable on departure.

    Cot and highchair are available on request.
    No smoking or aniamls are permitted in the proprety at any times. We request that you are fully insured against cancellation.

The furniture is a combination of both antique and modern giving the property a typically french feel. The entrance leads into the cosy living area with kitchen/diner which is equipped with a combi microwave oven, an electric hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. It has a dining table with 4 french chairs. The living area has an antique Bergere sofa and 2 chairs and has been furnished in a typically French style. The property has Sky Freeview so you can access a variety of UK TV channels as well as a DVD Player. There is also a bathroom on this floor. One double bedroom is positioned on the ground floor and has an antique French bed. Upstairs there is a fabulous twin bedroom with exposed beams and high ceilings. This bedroom is accessed by a narrow steep staircase.

The gardens : The property is set within 18 acres of grounds on the edge of the village with stunning views over a private valley. Explore the land on one of the mown paths cut through the beautiful wild flower meadows or simply relax and soak up the peace by the pool. The Maison d’Amis is next door to the owners house but faces away allowing privacy. There is ample private off road parking and a barbecue for your use.
