Ideal for all the family

Our stay at the end of last August was memorable for all the right reasons. My children (4 & 6) still talk about 'Seagull house'. It is a modern house and was clean, comfortable, quiet, with well maintained gardens and fully equipped for a family seaside holiday including paraphenalia for the beach such as windbreaks, chairs, beach toys. As we have a small car it was great travelling light. There were even games & toys in the house for kids too! It was close to walk to the beach & we could easily pop back for something we forgot, food supplies and lug stuff down there. My elderly Mum who has mobility difficulties found access to the beach and to the nearby shops easy. She also found the stairs in the house easy to manage, the bed comfortable even with her arthritic back and could get in and out of the bath with minimal assistance using the over the bath shower. The kids had a great time at the beach which is Blue Flag, lovely and sandy with rockpools too. Worth knowing the tide tables to plan your day and beach visits as the tide can come right in. During the week there were no more than 15 families there even though it was still school summer holidays. On the one rainy day we went to the cinema in town. We also drove to Reculver and went kite flying. Westgate is small and has the essentials but not so much that the kids keep demanding lots of spending money! Ideal for a traditional family beach holiday.
