Furnished with many antiques, Sun Cottage has its own small garden and a private roof terrace off the bedroom that gets the sun throughout most of the day. It is ideal for a couple to get away to, although if separate or extra sleeping arrangements are desired the sofabed can be used in the sitting room. Access to the bathroom is via the bedroom. The cottage is equipped with full central heating and also has a log effect gas fire in the sitting room to give instant real flames and extra heat without the mess.
On the ground floor is the sitting/dining room and the kitchen which has doors onto a small garden. On the first floor, French doors in the bedroom open onto the spacious roof terrace and the recently updated bathroom is located at the back of the bedroom. There is also a small mezzanine area with a desk if you would like to work during your stay. (Access to it is via steep stairs.).
The bedroom is a good size, with the ceiling open to the rafters, and has also been newly carpeted. The downstairs has vintage parquet floors and there is a real wood floor in the bathroom. Within the property there is a garage which can take motorbikes or small cars to a maximum of 4.2m in length. Some manoeuvring is needed. Please advise in advance if you wish to make use of this.
Otherwise free parking is allowed on the road immediately in front of the property for up to an hour during the day, all day Sunday and overnight. Free parking is also possible close by, towards the train station, or in the other direction, there is the main pay-and-display car park by the Guildhall which is 70p per hour or £5.50/day. If arriving by train, Sun Cottage is only a couple of hundred yards away from the mainline station. Local buses can be taken from in front of the Guildhall - a 3 minute walk.
The property has a wifi broadband connection that can be used at no extra charge, books, games and the flat screen television has a freeview box.
