Dorset holiday cottage: Swanage

The cottage sleeps up to 6. The three bedrooms are on the ground floor. There is one king-size double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and a view of Swanage Bay, one twin bedroom, one bedroom with a single bed and a foldaway bed. There is a further bathroom with a shower over the bath,wc and wash basin. There is a additional WC off the hall. The first floor has been redesigned to make the most of its position, it is now an open plan sitting/dining room with french doors overlooking the bay. The room has windows on all sides and it light and sunny all day. There are two settees and several easy chairs, there is a TV and DVD player. The dining area seats up to 8. The kitchen leads off from the dining area in a new extension, it is modern and well equipped. There is a sunny decked roof terrace at this level again making the most of the views. Electiricity and full gas central heating are included.

Sentry cottage is a Victorian cottage and is located in the Conservation Area of old Swanage, it is at the start of an unadopted road which means it is very quiet and yet also very central, there is parking opposite the cottage for 1 and possibly 2 cars, there is also free parking in nearby streets. All the amenities of Swanage are in easy walking distance, the beach and shops are about 3 minutes away. It is close to Peveril Point an open green space, Durlstone Head Country Park, and the South Coast Way. Swanage has numerous excellent restaurants and pubs and all the facilities one would expect from a delightful seaside town. You can take a boat trip along the Jurassic coast, walk in Durlston Country Park, board the steam train to Corfe Castle, stroll along the restored Victorian pier or just build sandcastles and swim. Further afield you can visit Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum.
