The stone barn is approximately 200 years old and is located in 2 acres of land. It comprises an open plan kitchen/dinner/lounge area with access to garden, 3 bedrooms ( 2 en-suite ) and a third bathroom. All have been finished to a high standard with the usual amenities. A new stainless steel kitchen compliments the open plan area with its wood burning stove. The property contains 3 refurbished bathrooms. A view of the beautiful river valley below can be found from all rooms. The terrace is south east facing and in the heat of summer an adjacent tree provides an element of welcome shade on the hotter days. The property extends to the river - La Sonnette - which contains a variety of fish and attracts an abundance of wildlife. If you are a wildlife lover then this is the place for you. Birds of prey. Buzzards , Hen Harriers and Owls are regularly seen. Deer are common, and wild boar can be seen occasionally.

Coypu are in the river, and not surprisingly the French find them ( or Ragondin as they call them ) very tasty!!! Hmmm!! A local farmer 300 metres away provides organic produce and locally produced foie gras is available in Ventouse - about 1 km. The great joy of the property however is sitting on the terrace, probably with a glass of the local Charante wine in your hand, absorbing the local scenary. The children will be occupied by the many garden toys and activities available.
