Isgarn is a most attractive welsh stone detached 3-bedroom cottage offering a wealth of charm and character with modern amenities. Originally built in the 1800's as a toll house before being extensively modernised and extended. The property is located in the picturesque hamlet of Boduan less than 2 miles from the beaches at Porth Dinllaen and Nefyn on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula. Isgarn is set in 5 acres of bluebell woodland with extensive well laid out gardens, feature stone walls and delightful terraced lawns. There is a wishing well and natural spring which runs into the stream that borders the lower terraced garden. There is direct access to Garn Boduan the mountain at the rear of the property which has the ruins of an old iron-age fort and from the summit of which there are spectacular views over the whole of the Lleyn Peninsular,Cardigan Bay and over to Anglesey. There is ample secure parking for 5/6 cars and/or boats.

The market town of Pwllheli is 4 miles from the cottage and offers a wide variety of shopping and leisure amenities. Available nearby activities include horseriding, fishing, cruises, sailing, surfing, wakeboarding, cycling, cinema, ten pin bowling, quad bikes and go-karting. The cottage is also an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of the Snowdonia National Park, the slate mines at Blaenau Ffestiniog, the unique Italianate village of Portmeirion (the location for the TV series the Prisoner) and numerous castles - Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech. The many narrowgauge railway trips provide a variety of magnificent views of the local scenery.

  • Rental is Saturday to Saturday - 10.30am depart, 3.30 pm arrival. We are also happy to offer shorter lets and weekend breaks. Price reduction for small number of guests. Rental includes gas, logs, credit on phone and tea towels. Duvets and pillows only provided, Tenants to bring own duvet covers, bottom sheets, pillow cases and towels. (Alternatively contact to discuss requirements and any extra charges.) Deposit of 20% payable on booking with balance and security deposit of £150 payable 6 weeks before arrival or in full if less than 6 weeks. Security deposit returnable one week after departure. Please do ask if you have any alternative requests or arrangements and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Isgarn is ideally located for enjoying all the amenities the Lleyn Peninsular has to offer. The seaside village of Morfa Nefyn with its beautiful beach, cliff top golf course, famous 'Ty Coch' pub on the beach and the 'Cliffs Inn & Restaurant are all within 2 miles of the cottage. Sleeping 9 comfortably in the spacious bedrooms Isgarn provides the perfect holiday location for one or two families. The lounge, which overlooks the stream & wishing well, has a 3 piece suite, TV with freeview, DVD player, CD player and a log burning stove. There is a separate dining room with beams and seating for 8. The well equipped breakfast kitchen has a hob and oven with extractor hood, frost free fridge/freezer, dishwasher, automatice washing machine, microwave and coffee maker. There is also seating for 8 in the kitchen for informal dining. The spacious bathroom is situate on the ground floor next to the master double bedroom. The 2 large family bedrooms are situate on the first floor.

The adjoining woodland attracts a variety of wild life and birds from buzzards circling overhead, and woodpeckers to ducklings visiting the stream. It provides a variety of walks from a leisurely stroll to something more challenging. There is an elevated picnic area with far reaching views across the countryside, this is in addition to the picnic area next to the cottage. There are also a number of benches, swing seats at various locations around the grounds/woodland.
