Tideswell village really is in the heart of the stunning Peak District with walks directly from the cottage front door. The village itself is known as 'The Cathedral of the Peaks' with a stunning cathedral in the village centre. There are also 4 pubs, a restaurant hotel, a small Co-op and a handy cash point!, all within minutes walk of the cottage. Locally there are activities such as, walking, horse riding, caving/pot holing, hang gliding, cycling, please enquire for more details There are also plenty of shopping areas and a number of small complexes to suit all tastes and budgets.

Brand new on the holiday market for July 2009. Cottage has been completely redecorated and refurbished with all new furniture / kitchen / bathroom / carpets / beds etc. Large sun terrace across the front of the property, where you can sit and relax in the sun, have a BBQ, enjoy a beer or glass of wine! Tastefully decorated lounge with beamed ceiling, cast iron Morso wood burning stove and large leather corner suite. Flat screen television / dvd player with satellite and a CD/radio. Brand new Moben fitted dining kitchen with fitted dishwasher and all mod cons. Downstairs luxury bathroom with a powerful mira shower over the bath. Two double bedrooms and a single bedroom upstairs. Both double bedrooms have great views out over the dale with low, 'sit in' style windows. Fully enclosed patio garden at the back.

LOVELY COMFORTABLE COTTAGE

We booked this cottage for a weekend in February 2010 and found it to be cosy and warm. The location is perfect with lovely views from all windows, Tideswell has walking trails virtually on the doorstep and is within driving distance of most Peak District towns. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, the beds were extremely comfortable as was the seating in the lounge area. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bathroom was on the small side but serviceable with all the hot water you could possibly need. Nice to have a long soak after a day out in the fresh air!

The owner provided good communication, Jo was very helpful and accommodating by email. We would recommend this cottage to our friends and would certainly stay here again.

The only negative thing we have to say about the cottage is that we booked it on the strength of it having a log burner, which turned out to be not in use, though we didn't miss it as the central heating system was more than adequate.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
