Contemporary art and modern furniture create this bohemian bolthole, once home to a long line of practicing artists who used the attic as a studio.
Child friendly and set in a traffic free location, Bellair offers guests a peaceful retreat and yet is situated in the centre of town. The beaches, Tate gallery, restaurants and the shops are a 5 minute walk away.
To the front of the house is a terraced garden with Cornish palm trees and a view across the bay, an ideal place for breakfast on a sunny morning.
This four/five bedroomed, light, south-facing house easily accommodates eight people (two families?) and there is ample space for a travel cot or z-bed in the former studio at the top of the house, which can be provided on request at an extra cost.
The top floor has a bedroom with a king sized bed, an en suite shower room and a children's room with two bunk beds. This part of the house used to be separate accommodation and could house one family.
The middle floor offers two double bedrooms with white painted wooden floors shuttered windows, a refurbished bathroom, and a small box room/reading room with a sofa bed. The ground floor consists of a large living area with wood burning stove to create a warm and welcoming feel at any time of year.
There is a dining area and modern architect designed kitchen with glass bricks and sky lights and a dishwasher and there is a washing machine in the rear shed in the yard.
Short breaks are available during winter months from £100 per night (minimum break four nights).
