The rustic cottage provides a comfortable and homey atmosphere in which to escape from the stress of modern day life. It is very near the village of Annascaul which is discribed as a walker's paradise with the "Dingle Way" passing through the area and local way-marked walks with breathtaking views and unspoilt countryside. Inch Strand is nearby offering 3 miles of sandy beach for bathing, surfing and angling. The town of Dingle is a short drive and contains many fine shops, restaurants, and pubs, many featuring traditional music nightly. The area around Dingle has a number of attractions including Dingle Aquarium and Fungie, the resident bottle nose dolphin living in Dingle Harbor. You can also take a drive along the tour route R559 and and visit Slea Head and Dunmore Head, the western most point of Ireland, where you can view the Blasket Islands, or stop at the many archiological sites such as Dunberg Fort or the Gallarus Oratory.

The entire route can easily be completed in a day and you would arrive back in Dingle in time to have a pleasant meal and top off the day with a visit to a pub for a pint and some traditional music. The larger town of Tralee is about a 40 minute drive and offers many interesting attractions including the beautiful Rose of Tralee gardens, Kerry County Museum and the Siamsa Tire, the National Folk Theater of Ireland.
