Flisk is a traditional cottage, recently extended and refurbished to a high standard. This comfortable, homely self catering cottage sleeps six and has super views of the Sidlaw hills and the river Tay. Two miles from the village of Inchture, between Perth and Dundee, it makes a great base for exploring Perthshire, Angus and Fife.

Golf - there are numerous quality (including championship) courses within the local area. Walking - there are walks to suit all abilities ranging from coastal and attractive woodland walks to drovers paths and Munros. Gardens - there are several reknowned gardens in the area including Branklyn Gardens, Glendoick, Dundee University Botanic Gardens. Historic interests - the Discovery, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, St Andrews, the City of Perth, Loch Leven are all close. Antiques - this area is well known for antique centres, the closest being the Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre at Abernyte.

For children - there is a range of activities including the Beatrix Potter museum in Dunkeld, Active Kids in Stanley, the Scottish Deer Centre, Fife and swimming in both Perth and Dundee. Beaches - there are some beautiful beaches within easy reach - St Andrews, Tentsmuir and Broughty Ferry or Carnoustie. Skiing - if the weather is right Glenshee is our favourite Scottish ski area.

Flisk lies in the heart of the Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire. Sleeping six it can be rented together with Eppie (adjoining) for parties of up to twelve. The cottage is single storey with 1 master bedroom with ensuite shower room (and double doors leading to a patio area), 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom (bath with shower over) and a utility room. The hallway leads through the property to an open plan kitchen and living area. There are dining table and chairs, comfortable seating for six, large windows providing fantastic views towards the river Tay and patio doors leading to the garden area. The garden area, looking out onto fields with superb views to the River Tay, is a mixture of lawn and patio. A barbeque and outdoor furniture is provided. This is a great area for children to play or for you to simply relax and enjoy the view. There is also a garden shed where bicycles can be stored, and an outdoor drying area.

The cottage has its own entrance, parking and garden. Dogs are welcome but please note there will be an additional £20 charged. This cottage makes a great holiday destination for everyone. The following attractions are all within one hour or less:

(i) Perth (‘The Fair City’), St Andrews (the home of golf) and Dundee (the City of Discovery)

(ii) The championship golf courses at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles

(iii) Tourist attractions such as Glamis Castle (birthplace of the Queen Mother), Scone Palace (home of the Stone of Destiny), Stirling Castle and Bannockburn

(iv) For walkers, the Grampian Mountains, the Angus Glens, the Cateran Trail and the Fife Coastal Path

(v) For families there is also the Perth Leisure Pool, Active Kids (Stanley) and Camperdown Park………amongst others.

Ski:

Glenshee is just over an hours drive away. Please check for snow and weather. We can advise on equipment hire and lessons if required.

Golf:

The cottage is in a great location for golf courses. Gleneagles, Carnoustie, St Andrews, Blairgowrie and more are all within an hours drive. There is a golf driving range just five minutes drive away.

powgavie cottages " Flisk"

We had a fantastic time staying at Powgavie cottages.The cottages are of a high standard and have everything you could possibly need.On our arrival we were shown around the cottage and provided with contact numbers should we need help or advice about anything.The welcome was very warm and friendly and some local produce (raspberries and strawberries) were a delicious welcome gift! The location was ideal for us as we were visiting both North and South of the area.The surounding countryside and views from the cottage were stunning and the area so peaceful,we made use of the bbq and the kids used the swingball provided.We will definately recommend this property to family and friends.It was a fabulous place to stay.
