We are a working Arable Farm, located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, with superb views and access to many places of interest. Popular tourist attractions. include the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering which takes you through 'Heartbeat Country' to Whitby; Helmsley with its historic castle and Walled Garden and the popular seaside resorts of Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and Filey. The area is a ramblers paradise for all walking abilities. Our two delightful pubs, within staggering distance, offer a welcoming atmosphere and serve superb food, with good choice of wine and beers.

We offer a tastfully furnished and fully equipped first floor self-contained, self-catering accommodation for 2 persons. Access is via an exterior wooden staircase leading to a private verandah. Safe car parking. If you have a light aircraft you are welcome to use our Private Airfield. Details can be found in the |Pooleys Guide under 'Fadmoor' also in the Flying Farmers Guide. (PP is required) 2 or 4 night Short Breaks available.

What a gem this is!

My husband and I came here at the beginning of September with our Jack Russell. We had a lovely week exploring the area and walking in the countryside surrounding the farm. The view from the runway and above is spectacular. The apartment is very well maintained,clean and is equipped with everything you need. It was lovely and cosy to relax in after a day in the fresh air.An excellent location for those who like to get away from it all and have some peace (you soon get used to the turkeys & geese).
The Plough in Fadmoor serves good food at reasonable prices although it shuts on Sunday afternoon until Wednesday lunch. The Kings Head in Kirkbymoorside and The Moors Inn at Appleton le Moors are both worthy of a visit or two.
Give the Crown at Helmsley a miss, the food terrible and at rip off prices.
The free range eggs from the farm next to the Plough are delicious.

We loved our stay so much we came back for a further week in early October and I'm sure we will be regular visitors.
