Charming, cosy, luxury holiday cottage in the beautiful village of Tideswell, Nestling in the heart of the Peak District. The cottage has two bedrooms, will sleep up to three adults & has all the equipment for your holiday. The cottage itself has a superb and spacious open plan lounge, dining & kitchen area. The cottage is located in a quiet locaition a few minutes walk from the centre of the village of Tideswell, one of the oldest settlements in the central Peak District National Park.

Tideswell is a small village famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as 'The Cathedral of the Peak'. The village is also noted for it's Well Dressing & Carnival Wakes, 'End of June'. Chatsworth House & Gardens, Haddon Hall, Bakewell ' Famous for the Traditional Bakewell Pudding', Castleton with it's cavens, The Spa Town of Buxton are on the doorstep. There is excellent Walking, Rock Climbing & Many other activities. Tideswell offers a range of great local facilities including many fine inns, superb caf'e & a range of shops including a Butchers, bakers, Co-op store, Post Office & Chemist.

    The hire period commences at 3pm on the first day of hire ( unless other arrangements have been made ) and terminates at 10am on the last day of hire.

Our self-catering holiday cottage has been in our family for over 80 years & has been transformed over the past few years into a charming, cosy & luxury cottage. Palamara holiday cottage has only been a holiday let since April 2009 and has had many bookings including famlies from Australia, America & Europe.

We stayed at the cottage for 1 week in September as our base for a walking holiday. The cottage was lovely, very cosy and clean. After walking all day it was so nice to come back to. We cooked a few meals and I must say that I have never stayed at a place so well equipped. We where lucky with the weather and enjoyed a few hours in the garden, which is fab, lots of seating and even a gas bbq. To top it all the welcome pack was a lovely idea. I would stay again and would recommend it to my friends and family.

We were the first to stay in this lovely holiday cottage. Absolutely everything was supplied (better equipped than most homes) brand new and spotless. Even a bottle of wine and nibblies awaited our arrival. It's a perfect location - walking distance to everything in town, 100 metres to the Cathedral with its beautiful bells, and views from the upstairs windows of cattle grazing on green slopes. The owners were very friendly and helpful - an abundance of DVD's and brochures were provided on things to do in the district. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to the most fastidious holidaymaker.
