Scratby village lies 6 miles north of Great Yarmouth on the Norfolk coast. Although Scratby is quiet and rural, shops and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. Buses run regularly to Great Yarmouth which boasts every conceivable form of entertainment from dining out in style to traditional ‘bucket and spade’ holiday entertainment along the Golden Mile. In addition to several theatres hosting top entertainers, for those who enjoy a ‘flutter’, Great Yarmouth also has a race course, a greyhound stadium and 3 casinos. Although perhaps rather too busy for many of the locals, Great Yarmouth’s allure has had strong appeal for many ‘greats’: Charles Dickens made it one of his favourite haunts and ‘David Copperfield’ gives a good insight into the robust character of the indigenous population of this area. Great Yarmouth was also the home port of Admiral Lord Nelson.

The bungalow comfortably sleeps 6 in one double bedroom, one twin-bedded bedroom and one bunk-bedded bedroom. A sun lounge / dining room at the front overlooks the sea. The lounge is comfortably furnished with a reclining suite, and digital TV and DVD. The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge freezer, electric cooker and microwave. Outside, the garden is fully enclosed, with lawn and flower beds to the front and BBQ patio area to the rear. A side drive leads to the garage which houses a washing machine. There is parking space for several cars either in the garage or along the drive. A high chair and travel cot are provided. Electricity is by £1 coin meter (from 1st Oct to 30th April the first £10 is free.)
