Bala is a busy market town in Southern Snowdonia and the home of the largest natural lake in Wales, Bala Lake, or Llyn Tegid. Here at the lake and also at the National White Water Centre in Tryweryn just 10 minutes away can be found some of the UK's cleanest and best water activity provision. Windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and fishing are all available at the Lake, and rafting, kayaking and orcas are avilable at Tryweryn. Within a 30 minute drive of Bala there over 15 different activities available. Multi-activity week, day and half-day packages can be arranged in advance to avoid disappointment.
The area is central to the regions of mid and north Wales and some of the most spectacular scenery is right here on the doorstep. Walk to the summit of the Arenig mountain, which takes about 2 hours, we have a guide available . From here on a clear day, the coast of Ireland, the tip of Snowdon and no less than 10 lakes can be seen! The Aran and Cader Idris are here.
