The Manoir at Rigal is noted on the map as a property of distinction. The house has been restored keeping a wealth of period French charm, old fireplaces,chandeliers, antique beds including a four poster in the tower ( matresses are new! pocket sprung and very comfortable) but incorporating all the facilities required for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The Manoir can comfortably sleep 6 (plus a cot if needed) The master bedroom in the tower has an en-suite shower and toilet and the double bedroom and twin room share a fabulous comtemporary bathroom with double sinks. The is also a downstairs WC.There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, a spacious salon with satellite television and DVD player. There are several external terraces for dining al fresco outside or for enjoying a BBQ (provided) and watching the sunset. Eco-Tourism Le Rigal estate is run organically; no chemicals are used on the pastures and re-cycling is a way of life.

You will find recycling bins close to the gite where paper, card, plastic containers, boxes, bags, bottles, tins, cans and so on can be collected and recycled. A composting system is in place and most kitchen waste (apart from meat) can be composted. The compost produced is then spread onto our organic vegetable plot. The brand new pool conforms to all the latest safety and filtration standards.It is securely fenced and alarmed. The pool is a salt water pool thus avoiding chemicals that damage the skin and environment. There is a large trampoline, swings, slides, a table tennis table and acres of space to run around in. We have a variety of livestock, including two ponies, rare breed hens and a pets corner. The rest of our land is grazed by cattle and the farmer who owns them has a vineyard which produces local Bergerac wine.We can recommend vineyards to visit and wine tours.
