Things to do:
Visiting all the local markets can keep you busy every morning of the week, and help you (re)discover the tastes, flavors and fragrances of Provence. At Saint Saturnin les Apt, market day is Tuesday morning. If you like shopping for antiques and bric-a-brac, the town of L'Isle sur Sorgue, a few kilometres away, is France's antiques capital. You'll have at your disposal countless number of walks and cycling promenades in the 120 000 ha of the Luberon Park. Day trips to Avignon, Saint Tropez, La Camargue, Arles, Aix en Provence, Orange, St Remy en Provence, Les Baux de Provence, Nimes, Arles, Marseille, etc.
Culture, Cuisine and Wine Tasting:
Most villages around have excellent restaurants. You will find a Guide Michelin at your disposal at the villa and many more recommendations, to help you select the best ones around. The area also produces excellent wines and you can go wine tasting in the cool shade of the regions' caves. During the summer months, the whole area offers numerous open air cultural festivals of music (from opera to world music, from jazz to classical) theater and dance. You'll also be able to enjoy and admire the gorgeous light of Provence which attracted so many artists over the years (Cezanne, Picasso, Pissaro, Braque, to name just a few.)
