Lefkada nestles away in the center of the Ionian Islands and is the only island linked to mainland Greece. A swing bridge gives easy access by road, with the newly extended and refurbished airport of Preveza about a 30 minute drive. The island and the surrounding area has a lot to offer - anything from sailing, windsurfing, cycling, scuba-diving, walking, exploring ancient archaeological sites or just that lazy beach holiday. On the east coast with its pebble beaches, you will probably find some of the most picturesque views around. On the West cost you will find some of the most beautiful sandy beaches and stunning sunsets.

Lefkas Island: Lefkas is one of the 7 Ionian Islands, the nearest airport is 40klm away. The ferry crossing to Kefalonia and Ithaca is about hour from Vasiliki the southern port on Lefkas Lefkas is connected to the coast of mainland Greece (only 25 meters from land) by an opening bridge. Lefkada has 2 main islands opposite the village of Nidri, Meganisi and Skorpios, Onassis Island. There are many other smaller islands in a short distance from Lefkas accessible by caique or motorboats. There are walks into the surrounding hills, and in spring the flowers and wild life with beautiful views to sea are unforgettable. Lefkas is one of the unspoilt islands in the Ionian, ideal for the family holiday.

How to get there: 40 km from Aktio/Preveza airport. for flights books direct to the airport in western Greece, Ionian Islands. I can arrange car hire if needed or taxi booking for your transfer to Villa Lemoni. It is a 45 minute drive from the airport to the Villa. Daily ferries to and from Ithaka and Kefalonia to Nidri, Lefkas Island, where Villa Lemoni is situated on the hillside.

The welcome we got as we got to the Villa was so warm and inviting.
The Villa was immaculate with a calming atmosphere and a pool that you just wanted to fall in!
the view is amazing, looking opposite to the mainland and the dotted islands.
Evenings on the Patio watching the moon shine over the sea is a feeling of such serenity.

I would recommend a break or holiday for couples and families any time of the year.
As Villa Lemoni accommodates 6 comfortably, it is a great getaway for a quiet or active holiday.
