We welcome you to a holiday experience in our self catering traditional Maltese House of Character in St. Paul's Bay, Malta. A rare find in this day and age of modern developments. It is licensed and approved by the Malta Tourism Authority and is available for short term rent throughout the year. It is a comfortable residence boasting traditional patterned floors, wooden beams, high ceilings and many other rustic features. It offers all the mod cons necessary to comfortable living today. The house has stunning sea views of the bay. It consists of entrance hall, sitting/ dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, four bedrooms, bathroom, shower & toilet downstairs, garden, patio with barbeque area which is ideal for relaxing on a hot summer's day. Although it is situated in the village core it enjoys stunning sea views and is in a quiet area, yet it is well located within walking distance of the sea, sandy beaches, bus stops, shops, restaurants, banks and the popular resort of Qawra.

St Paul's Bay is a traditional quiet fishing village situated to the north west of the island of Malta. It is made up of some particularly beautiful, natural geological features. The locality enjoys beautiful scenery, made up of large expanses of plateau, high ridge areas overlooking steep-sided valleys, beautiful beaches and rocky promenades. It is situated 16 km away from Valletta, the capital city. It is very close to the popular summer resorts of Bugibba and Qawra where you can find numerous bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues. The best sandy beaches in Malta are only twenty minutes away, although the swimming is excellent just down the road from the house from the rocky beach. There is a good bus service to almost all localities in Malta including the main historical sites like the Hypogeum. It is also 30minutes away from the ferry that takes you to the island of Gozo. It is situated very close to the Language Schools in St Paul's Bay.

  • The price includes full use of the house for the number of persons booked, water and electricity consumption, food pack on arrival which includes fruit basket(selection of fruits in season), coffee, tea, milk, butter, bread, ham, cheese, bottled water, and toilet paper. The price is per adult. Persons booked will be the sole occupants.
    SPECIAL DISCOUNTS
    There is a 10% DISCOUNT for 4 adults or more sharing during Summer Season and Mid-Season.
    In addition to the above discount, Taxi Transfer from the airport to the house is provided free for groups of 5 or more adults.
    There are also special discounts for children on request.
  • Please note that there is a Single person supplement as follows: 5Euro per night during low season. 7Euro per night during mid-season and 10Euro per night during peak season.

Scuba Diving: The Maltese Islands are a real paradise for divers and snorkellers, as an all-year-round centre! The minimun sea temperature never drops below 14 degrees celcius. The climate and duration of sunshine during the winter months are similar to an average North European summer. The islands offer excellent infrastructure for divers representing a very high standard offering services to the most sophisticated demands. Malta. Gozo and Comino boast a vast range of diving both from shore or by boat. The excellent under water visibility, the unique topographic structure of its underwater landscape, and the healthy flora and fauna, qualify the islands as the ideal place for this wonderful sport. One can also find an abundance of caves, holes, grottos and crevices. The islands also boast a vast variety of wrecks, ranging from the First World War to specifically scuttled wrecks.

family friendly with a difference

This house was an excellent find. We didn't want to stay in an anonymous apartment or hotel, but wanted somewhere that was traditional and had character but at the same time was suitable for our 3 children (ages 3, 5 and 8). The house was excellent. It had all the equipment and amenities that we needed. We didn't feel pressurised to leave the property like we sometimes do in a hotel when the kids are being a bit loud and boisterous. Carmen, the owner was really helpful as were the local shop keepers and the taxi driver that we used on a few occasions. The location was lovely, right next to the bay and the local restaurant just across the road offered excellent food and service and was very accommodating of our children. The bus service around the Island is excellent and severeal buses stop very close to the house. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this house to other holiday makers, especially those who are after something a bit different but without an expensive price tag.
Owner's Response: My priority is to give my clients a good restful holiday with the least possible hassle. It is with pleasure to say that this positive review confirms that my aim is being achieved.

Lovely 2 week stay with 7 people in June 2009

We stayed in the house for 2 weeks and had a great time there.
It is budget class, but has a lot of flair and Carmen, the owner is very helpful if there are any troubles and she lives just across the road.

The description and the photos provided are accurate. Every bed room is equipped with a little fan, but especially the main bed room does heat up quite a bit during hot weather. But yeah, it's Malta after all and if you can't cope with the heat then you should definitely not go there during summer.

There are a lot of decent restaurants and shops nearby, so even without a rental car you can get around easily enough (the next bus stop is just around the corner as well).

There are quite a few nice swimming and snorkeling spots in walking distance, if you want to go for a quick swim.

If you like to sleep long then better take a pack of ear plugs the city awakens rather early in the mornings.

The airport transfer Carmen can arrange is recommendable. Especially the pick up from the airport, so you don't have to worry about finding the house.

All in all this was a very nice and enjoyable time we spent in this house and we'll gladly come back another time. I would recommend this house for easy going people who want a budget friendly place to stay and get a bit of a real Maltese experience.
